Amir embarked on his musical odyssey in 1997, launching his career at just 16 under the moniker "Luminus." Under this name, he graced the world with three albums in collaboration with Hommega and Phonokol Records. By 2000, craving a shift in musical direction, Amir introduced the "Illumination" project. This pivot soon led him to team up with one of Hommega's founders, "Xerox," birthing the dynamic duo "Xerox & Illumination." Over a span of more than a decade, they released four albums and showcased their artistry worldwide. Their significant impact was recognized in May 2007 when the renowned British "DJMag" hailed X&I among the top 10 influential psytrance acts.
2012 marked the genesis of "Born Sleepy," Amir's solo venture that leaned into a mellower progressive sound. Tracks from this project found homes with esteemed labels like Iboga, Hommega, and TIP records. Beyond these ventures, Amir collaborates with the legendary Goa artist "Sandman" in the duo known as "Humanoids."
Renowned for his distinctive analogue sound, Amir employs his modular rack and an impressive collection of analogue synths to leave an indelible mark on audiences globally.
