Brooklyn based singer and guitarist, Ilusha Tsinadze, was born in Soviet-era Georgia and emigrated with his family to the U.S. at the age of 8, where his musical upbringing consisted of punk rock, jazz and American folk music. After studying jazz in college, he returned to the music of his homeland, reimagining Georgian traditional songs on banjo and electric guitar. His recordings and performances are a true expression of a contemporary multicultural identity.
