Imminent Reaper was formed in 2010 in Guadalajara, Mexico by Carlos García (Fahrenheit, Maniaca, Soul Possessed) who wanted to be in a band where he could play guitar and sing, after several years playing drums.
He recruited Mike Gomez (Soul Possessed, Shemhamforash) as bass player, Jimmy Beltrán (Iron Force) as lead guitar and finally Ernesto Villalobos (Demolish, Maniaca, Hardware, Nocturnal Aar) at the drums.
With this lineup, Imminent Reaper started to play in local and regional venues with bands like Soul Eater, Mortoss, Thantra, Insertion Loss, Dawn Fall, Trozo, Naurum, Fistol, Death Letters, Iron Force, Heretic among others. At the beginning of 2013 the first band´s CD comes out; ‘Evil Claims’ containing 9 tracks.
On mid of 2013 Mike Gomez calls it quits and the band spends almost two years looking for a new bass player, until Omar López joins the band in 2015. At this time they start writing material for their second album and shared bills with national bands like Agony Lords, Anarchus, Acidez, Evil Entourage, Raped God 666, Skid Raid, Strike Master and international like At The Gates and Sodom.
In September 2018, the band entered The Dirty Box studio, in Guadalajara, Mx, where they recorded 7 songs for their second album titled ‘Walls Of Death’ that came out in january 2019
