It was sometime in the fall or winter of 2020 when Zach and I began talking. He was working on his West MI Punk page on Bandcamp. I was helping him out with some information about an old band I was in when we got to talking about music.
Neither of us were working on much, I myself had not done anything musically in fifteen years. We talked about collaborating on a project and he told me to check out some demo tracks on his SoundCloud. From that came a rough version of our song, Rambling, that I sent to him. Zach reworked the song and made it into what it is.
After we were happy with the song, we discussed what kind of sound we wanted for a band, opting to send each other different songs that we loved, everything from Buddy Holly songs to Link Wray to more modern rock and punk.
Being in the middle of the pandemic, we never actually met with each other during any of the recordings. Zach came up with the songs and sent me versions to work lyrics into. The back and forth worked for us and so we have a record from that.
