Indee Star | When Indie Pop Goes to Therapy
Indee Star isn’t just an artist—she’s a survivor, a storyteller, and a soul alchemist turning pain into poetry. Her sound weaves indie pop, folk, dream pop, jazz, and classical influences into something both hauntingly intimate and expansively cinematic, infused with healing instruments and raw, unfiltered emotion. Her artistry was born from transformation.
After dedicating her life to classical singing, vocal injuries and health struggles forced her to leave opera behind. With no way to afford therapy, songwriting became her lifeline—a way to process grief, healing, and self-discovery.
After years of performing in Atlanta’s music scene without much of her own work released, she is finally sharing the songs born from her journey. In 2025 and 2026, her long-awaited body of work will emerge—a testament to resilience, change, and rebirth.
More than anything, Indee hopes her music reminds people they are never alone. She wants her songs to be a safe space, a source of healing, and a catalyst for others to create, express, or choose a better life—one filled with authenticity and self-acceptance.
Named Atlanta’s Best Vocalist by Creative Loafing in 2018, featured on Spotify’s New Music Friday, and played on Atlanta’s NPR station 90.1 WABE, Indee Star isn’t just making music—she’s offering a hand to those who need it most. Because in the end, music heals.
