"Always exciting....", "A great storyteller...." BBC Introducing

My parents always say I ran before I walked and that I sang before I talked.
They're right. I’ve been singing as long as I can remember, from musicals with my ducks in the bath to releasing my first EP and hearing my songs being played on the radio. My music comes from my heart - it is quite literally a manifestation of who I am. I write as a way to say the words that are too difficult for me to express without crying, screaming and throwing up. Music helps me understand myself.
I write music for my fellow teenagers and for people who used to be teenagers, I write songs for anyone who’s ever been in love - or wanted to be. I hope you find a piece of yourself in my music, because I know I found a massive chunk of myself in it.
"Pretty girls don't cry", has changed me in ways I didn’t know I could change. I have grown as a person through this process, and to be able to hold it in my hands and say this is my work, my vocals and my vision is a dream come true. I've loved writing it, and recording it (especially the backing vocals for some reason), planning the artwork, making videos, the whole shebang really. I worked with students from Oxford Brookes on a music video for “Say what you want” and with the amazing Indie rapper Scrulove on a remix of “It’s ok to not be okay”.
My music has opened the door to people and experiences I could never have dreamed of and I’m so grateful ❤️
