INÉS

INÉS is an Indie-Pop-Duo based in Groningen in the north of the Netherlands. It is composed of singer and lyricist Inès Morassutti-Vitale and producer, composer and mixing-engineer Wilko Schmidt-Dannert. What started as the unassuming offer to "make music together sometime" quickly escalated into a five song-EP.
By mixing up the bedroom singer-songwriter image with lofi-drum machines and a lot of eccentric production and dreamy sound-design, they created the perfect, laid-back, sad-behind-sunglasses summer soundtrack.
If Brian Burton had produced a Lana del Ray-EP on cassette tapes in a beach house somewhere in England while feeling severe 90's-nostalgia this is what it would sound like. Maybe. At least they think so.
Wilko Schmidt-Dannert is a producer, composer, recording-, mixing- and mastering engineer from Germany. He got a bachelor degree in songwriting/production and is currently doing a master in music design. While working in several styles of music, he always stays true to his acoustic signature: rich harmonies and melodies combined with creative, impactful production.
Inés Vitale is a French/Italian singer-songwriter who is currently studying composition, music and studio production at the Conservatory of Groningen in the Netherlands. The essence of her music and her unique personal vocal style will take the listener on a dreamy and nostalgic state of mind.
