Infant Meat Shield began in 2016 with a group of misfits, but all with a common passion, to create the music they wanted to hear but no one around them made. The music they wanted had the heaviness and brutality of Death metal, the raw energy of Thrash metal and to top it off the band wanted to add a melodic side to it.
At first the band struggled to get off the ground and get the flow going as band members lost interest and quit, but in 2017 they finally succeeded to release their debut in the shape of an EP called “Dead Age” creating the prototype Infant Meat Shield.
After this progress started to speed up with as result the 2019 album “Lunacy” and after yet another line-up change the band became as it is today, consisting of; Johnny Stuiver on vocals, Dennis van Putten on guitar and backing vocals, Raymond Aubri on bass and Menno Bakker on drums.
With this latest line-up the band started working on new music and creating what was envisioned from day one. The first result of this is released as a single named “Descent to Madness”.
