Infection

Infection is a Peruvian death metal band formed in 2006. The group draws heavy influence from acts such as Cannibal Corpse, Suffocation, Monstrosity, and, of course, Death. They incorporate thrash and grind elements to create a furious blend of relentless metal. To date, the group has released a six-song EP and two full-length albums. Since their formation, their passion for making music has not waned. On the contrary, they keep the flame of metal alive and consistently deliver brutal music to the world.

After releasing the "Nothing but Scum" EP in 2008, their first full-length album, "Necrokindergarden," emerged in 2009, featuring fourteen tracks of vicious death metal. Positive reviews and support were not only received locally but also from foreign media. The third Infection release, 'Acrotomophile Mutilator,' debuted digitally in 2014, followed by a special 12” vinyl edition in 2015. The EP "Beheaded Children Contest" came to light in 2020, and in 2024, their new album, "The Cryptic Homicides," was released by the Gate of Horror label. This album represents an evolution in the sound and composition of the band, showcasing intricate riffs, pounding bass lines, and demented vocals that will delight headbangers worldwide.

The current lineup of the band includes Giuliano Canessa (vocals), Antonio Palacios (guitars), Yuri Cazal (live bass), and Yesid Aranda (live drums).
