If you open a dictionary to search for the meaning of the word “Inferious,” you probably won’t get much—maybe references to something being “of low status” or “sacrificial.” In reality, the Ohioan heavy metalcore act of the same name are truly anything but. Formed in 2018 by members of acclaimed midwestern heavy-hitting acts Denhilist, Grim State and In Dying Arms, the band has been hard at work releasing several critically-acclaimed EPs and full length records, earning playtime on Fox Television Network’s hit series 9-1-1 and touring across the country, making pit-stops for festivals like I Guess It’s a Fest and Explicit Content Fest. Inferious are a towering bastion of brutalizing aggression and indomitable fury, Inferious are a sinister and all-consuming scourge on the listener’s ears, demonstrating that if anything is to be sacrificed, it is the listener’s sanity that will find itself prostrated before the executioner’s axe.
