Influence Akaba (born in 1980) Edo State, is a Nigerian indigenous prolific singer and several hit songs maker, from Benin City . He is best known for releasing songs in Nigerian pidgin, British English and Bini dialect. His most popular songs in Nigeria are "Dodorima", "Osamakue" , and "Isè". In September 2018, he released "Osamakue" produced by a Nigerian music producer Philtown . In 2019, Influence embarked on a music tour in United Kindom cities, same year he was invited to perform "Osamakue" at Igue festival in New York . The song garnered over 1,000,000 million views on YouTube in a week. In 2020, his song "<a href="spotify:album:4F2Qx2Urd8QYeIm7ZzCx9V" data-name="Osamakue (Remix)">Osamakue (Remix)</a>" featured Legendary 2Baba Idibia. His discography had received positive reviews from Commissioner of Culture and Tourism, Hon Osazee Ero, in Edo State. Influence had carved a niche for himself after releasing anthem song "<a href="spotify:album:3oxFH4NL1Q8e80hRmbq1LG" data-name="Osamakue">Osamakue</a> worldwide to finally peaked on #62 at iTunes Top 100 Songs in Czech Republic and his other song titled "Isè" achieved same feat on March 16, 2020 - March 22,2020, peaked #72 position on iTunes Top 100 World Songs in Germany . In 2021, he was nominated by APCN Humanitarian Awards under Category of Indigenous Artist of the Year, he was listed as the Edo Funk most influencial in 2021 and as the recent flag bearer of the music genere after the death of blessed memory Sir Victor Uwaifo the innovator of Edo Funk.
