Ingridi Verardo

Ingridi Verardo is a Brazilian musician from the city of Veranópolis, who began to relate to music very early on through the influence of her mother's passion for Heavy Metal and Gothic culture, and her godfather who played with a band in a basement,where her grandfather, a musician for over 50 years, also repaired and created musical instruments.Her first experience in music as a singer was at the age of 10.Her adolescence was marked by frustrations with music,which temporarily took her away from her dream, leading her to work as an extra in the film in the famous television series,“Penny Dreadful”,in the film “Mary Shelley” and the soap opera “Fair City” in a period where she has been living in Ireland,Holland and Italy in search of new opportunities and experiences.On her return to Brazil,she faced a serious health condition, that's when her first songs appeared.Even still in a complex recovery process,Ingridi dropped her college and started studying Music,performing in roles in the classics musicals “Les Miserables” and "CATS". In addition to very important articles and theses like: “Representations of the Feminine in the Italian Immigration Culture”, “Learning Processes of Women in Rock/Metal” and “Narratives of women in metal: a study on the processes of discrimination in the scene”.Her compositions gained strength,as a kind of legacy of her struggle, and today, already recovered from the most difficult period of her life,her first album Imperfection is here.
