Ingvild Flottorp

The Norwegian Americana-scene has flourished over the last decade and a number of artists and bands have gained recognition both in Norway and internationally. A common denominator for these well-established names, is exactly that, they are well established. People are beginning to look to the next generation. One of those ready to lead the way is 24 year old Ingvild Flottorp from Åmli.

Ingvild hails from a family of Nordicana-royalty. Her siblings Johanne and Tobias play together in Ruby Red & the Moonshine Brothers and Johanne Flottorp also plays in The Northern Belle. The apple hasn’t really fallen far from the tree, but singer-songwriter Ingvild has chosen to take centre-stage and has backing from an excellent band.

Ingvild`s unique voice, reminiscent of Iris Dement and Kate Bush with a country twang is the first thing you notice about her. Then, a band with good drive, tasteful musicality and nordicana-style fingerspitzgefühl.

Her first album It All Seems So Clear, released by Vestkyst Records on April 2021, was well received by norwegian press. November 4th will her second album "I Just Wanna Know It All" be released.
