Insólito UniVerso is a trio of Venezuelan immigrants making music from their homeland, steeped in sounds from other worlds. The Paris based band showcases their love for traditional folklore, 70s psychedelia and other universes of musical experimentation. Musically, they take listeners on a trip between traditions, lands, different times, languages, landscapes, and myths.
Their sophomore album, titled “Ese puerto existe” or “That harbor exists”, is a self-affirmation that a portal or harbor is available to enter and exit, to let go and explore something new or to drop anchor and mature what was gathered on the trip.
On their critically acclaimed first album "La candela del río", the band collaborated with musicians such as percussionist Orlando Poleo and Malcolm Catto (Heliocentrics) on mixing and production. For their second album, collaborations include the voice of Laetitia Sadier and the ears of Eblis Alvarez (Meridian Brothers) and Catto once again.
The voyage continues, in the open seas or inland, depending on what’s required.
