Insteria - the youth oriented and genre bending act from Sydney, are a five-piece band consisting of Lucca Yench, Noa Tepania, Caedan Young, Joshua Vaz and Piers Ivanoff. Insteria's music is characterised by a fusion of alternative rock, art rock and modern shogaze. The quintet fused together in high school and since then have continued to bloom in such a magical project.
Insteria particularly draw from artists such as Duster, Radiohead and The Smashing Pumpkins, however Insteria defies traditional genre boundaries, incorporating elements from artists such as Bjork and Aodhan.
The core message of Insteria as an art is to promote self-expression, celebrate individuality, and that to be unique is beautiful, valuable and should a cherished aspect of oneself.
