Rhythm n' snooze.
Started in early 2023 by founding member and main songwriter Hunter Cober. He spent months compiling demo tapes and working with other local Houston artists before finally settling down on a lineup later that year. He found bassist David Molina-Diaz by chance, but immediately had a musical connection with him. Then, after some trials and tribulations, they were finally able to secure a full-time drummer in Vincent Shurn. Since then, Intermezzo has gone on to carve out a small but dedicated fanbase in the city’s burgeoning underground alt-rock scene. The shoegaze/grunge/post-hardcore style of the band creates a very unique soundscape that showcases the versatility of each member. With songs ranging from slowcore to punk and almost everything in between, Intermezzo has cultivated a sound that many may find to be equal parts nostalgic and innovative at the same time.
