Internal Devour was formed in the river city of Brisbane, Australia and having a love for all things heavy, the band set out on a mission to conceive some of the most uncompromising and relentless slam death that Australia has ever seen.
Unable to lock down a full time drummer has not deterred the band from forging ahead and they set about with the release of their debut release in 2014. The release garnered widespread acclaim throughout the underground community ending up on many end of year lists and receiving generally positive reviews. The album even getting a shout out by underground hero Trevor Strnad from the Black dahlia murder who has also been seen rocking the shirt on stage while on tour with his band.
Multiple lineup changes and setbacks following the albums release threatened to derail the band but a persistence to remain a force in the slamming community drove the band to continue. New members were recruited and the demo 'transmutation 14' was released to public and the writing process for their sophomore effort immediately began thereafter.
Doomed To Disembowelment was to be released in March of 2016, with a step up in all areas of song writing, song structure and production the album has gone down as a classic in the genre!
The band is currently going through yet another restructure, with some members staying a constant whilst others have moved abroad. One thing is for certain, the slam train that is Internal Devour is returning in 2021.
