For some, career choices come naturally, as was the case with Introversion: “I never planned a music career, it just happened. I started making music in my early childhood.” Now based in Berlin, Introversion has established himself as a producer, sound designer, and DJ, influencing the scene with his distinctive style.
Drums are central to Introversion’s productions, having been the first instrument he learned in his youth. Many tracks feature breakbeat elements, defining his sound. His work blends dark, ’90s-inspired techno with melancholic touches. He incorporates wild synth stabs and full-force drums, balanced by classic trance chords, creating a fresh, invigorating sound.
As a DJ, Introversion blends playful, forceful techno, drawing on new or unreleased material alongside selected classics. His sets balance severe kick drums with atmospheric moments.
In a short time, Introversion has gained global recognition through acclaimed releases and performances at iconic venues like Berghain Berlin, Institut für Zukunft Leipzig, Faust Seoul, and FOLD London. His breakthrough came with the 2017 EP “Dystopia,” now a modern techno classic.
Following this success, he released on ARTS, Materia, and Emerald, and remixed for Ellen Allien, Nicolas Bougaieff, Blue Hour, and SHDW & Obscure Shape. In 2024 he launched his own label Makatao with the EP “Sea Of Life”. In 2025, releases will follow on Fjaak’s CROWD as well as on Suara.
