Intrusive Thoughts is a Cape Town-based indie rock band blending moody guitar tones, dreamy textures, and sharp, melodic songwriting. Formed by Ryan Stopforth (vocals/guitar), Leonid Ozemblovskii (lead guitar), and James Nevin (bass/backing vocals), the band creates emotionally charged, groove-driven tracks that explore love, disconnection, and navigating post-modern life.
Inspired by acts like Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Cigarettes After Sex, Skinshape and Dope Lemon, Intrusive Thoughts sits somewhere between alternative rock, dream pop, and psych indie, crafting soundtracks for when your brain won't shut up.
