Ion Sunrise

Ion Sunrise, whose real name is Stefan, is a music producer from Utrecht, Netherlands. His work is shaped by a deep love for harmonies, serenity, and nostalgia, blending these elements into his distinctive indie-pop sound. Inspired by a wide variety of genres, he creates both acoustic and electronic music. He uses metaphors to tell stories through his music, which comes to life with his falsetto vocals and lush harmonies.

Stefan's musical journey began as a multi-instrumentalist, playing guitar, piano, and bass. While his early compositions were mainly acoustic, they gradually evolved to incorporate more electronic elements due to his growing interest in electronic sounds. His instrumental skills now form the foundation of his music productions. Although he has performed as an instrumentalist in various bands, singing has always been his "silent" dream. After overcoming personal challenges, he took the leap by focusing on vocal-based solo projects.

The latest single, “Charade,” is about a friendship built on acting rather than honesty. At first, it’s easy to blame the other person, but then you realize you’ve been playing along too, by not being honest with yourself.
