My name is Irini and I am a singer - songwriter from Athens, Greece.
My love for words and my passion to share my experiences led me to songwriting.
Therefore, lyrics play a crucial part both in my original work as well as in my choice of covers.
Issues like individuality, belonging, animal welfare and social justice are all dear to my heart and reflected in my songs.
Growing up in a home where I would listen to Greek folk songs on the radio, watch mesmerized videoclips on MTv & have my mother sing to me Italian ballads, my compositions kind of reflect this cultural blend along with my own studies on classical piano with a noticeable preference for the Romantic Era ❤️
My favourite way of interpreting songs is again lyric-centered. I guess I sound like a storyteller would and melody works in my art as a bridge that hopefully connects my personal stories to more collective - & therefore plain human - narratives.
