IRIS is a pop punk, grunge band from Upland, California, formed in 2023. mixing grunge, punk, and alternative rock for a sound that's raw, fast, heavy and emotional.
IRIS started when high school friends Luke, Marcus, and Jerry teamed up with Eli and Daniel after meeting through a band ad. What began as a cover band quickly turned into something more as the group discovered their chemistry and started writing original songs.
Inspired by bands like Alice in Chains, Blink-182, Rise Against, and System of a Down, IRIS writes music that balances fast, high-energy riffs with emotional, honest lyrics. Their songs often explore themes like sadness, loneliness, and personal growth.
Known for their powerful live shows, IRIS has played venues like House of Blues, Glass House, and The Haven, winning over crowds at Battle of the Bands competitions. Their debut single, “Dream Wounds,” is out now, with more music on the way.
