Pianist Irmak Akıncı was born in 2010. Akıncı, who was born exactly 100 years after her violinist grandfather, believes that she inherited her talent from him. Akıncı, who started piano lessons at her family's music school at the age of 4, won 2nd place in the U.S.A. South Florida I.P.C., 3rd place in the Musical Fireworks in Baden Wuerttenberg I.P.C., 1st place in the CA Renaissance I.P.C. and 1st place in both categories in the Canadian-Ukrainian International Piano and Composition Competition in 2020. She took the Bilkent University Conservatory exam and won a full scholarship by showing outstanding success. Continuing her education as a student of Prof. Gülnara Aziz, Akıncı won the 3rd prize in the Young Euregio I.P.C. in 2022, 1st prize in the Adana Rhapsody I.P.C. 1st prize in the Mozart Academy I.P.C., and 3rd prize in the Clara Schumann I.P.C. in 2024. She had the opportunity to work with valuable names such as Mira Marcenko, Pablo Galdo, Roberto Domingues, Maarten Den Hengst, Elena Çekiç, Natalia Sovuksu, İbrahim Yazıcı, Gökhan Aybulus and Gülsin Onay. She also given with the Young Pianists at the Istanbul Süreyya Opera and in many cities in Turkey. Akıncı states that music is a passion for her.
