IRXIUM

IRXIUM is a project exploring the 215-ish subgenres of electronic dance music (EDM), initially inspired by a Youtube video, “165 Sub-Genres of EDM,” by Spider Lily.

The project – known as PRJX215 – has grown to 23 albums/subgenres, at present. Although each of these albums represents a different subgenre, and each has its own influences, the PRJX215 project as a whole has been influenced by <a href="spotify:artist:1DzQInbDVhE9Lh5s6T0DUL" data-name="Bishu">Bishu</a>, who helped me understand how to approach each genre in my own way; <a href="spotify:artist:6hBrJJrcYoNhvLC6KaFR4b" data-name="Eliminate">Eliminate</a>, who helped me learn to use my DAW effectively; <a href="spotify:artist:5he5w2lnU9x7JFhnwcekXX" data-name="Skrillex">Skrillex</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:4oLeXFyACqeem2VImYeBFe" data-name="Fred again..">Fred again..</a>, whose mastery inspires me to work continually on my production values; and <a href="spotify:artist:5eKLa1xyHLq8ERWmT1CRHj" data-name="The Crystal Method">The Crystal Method</a>, whose work is the driving force behind my favorite IRXIUM album to date, The Age of Wonder.

The IRXIUM release schedule may vary slightly, but at present I plan to release an album from PRJX215 every Friday, until the project is complete.
