The Island Mountain Band songs are all written by lead singer Bumper who was a world renowned
fashion photographer and responsible for many Quicksilver and Roxy ads.Bumper has won 3 major US songwriting
contests and has been featured in the Toronto Film festival for video soundtrack music. He is also a former beach lifeguard and has a love of surfing that he has passed on to his son John.
Texan Brian Lux ''Dallas'' plays standup bass and avid Longboard surfer Monty Oatney beats the
drums. The back up vocals are sung by well known Melbourne beach music aficionado the lovely Ms Bee.
Ave A Surfer and scientist Mike G plays harp , after only spending a few quick months to learn the instrument.
The Island Mountain Band features dobro and fiddle, played by musical virtuoso Don Sadler who came to Melbourne Beach from Tennessee .
The band was put together by talented musician Charles Alberga and presented to Bumper after hearing him sing original songs at one of his jam sessions.The band is based in Melbourne Beach Florida
Other band friends who join in on the jam are Mike King and JP McCune both Melbourne locals
Both Island Mountain Band albums are recorded live with no overdubs in Melbourne Florida's Zone studios
