Italove
– From Stockholm with Italo Disco Love
In 2012, pure Italo disco magic was born when Martin Blix(The Bandit), Dr. Mateo(The Masked Man), and Dave LaRoxx(The Clown) joined forces to create Italove.
Since then, the band has taken the world by storm—especially in Mexico, where Italove has built a passionate fanbase. With millions of streams on Spotify and millions of views on YouTube, their glamorous, retro-inspired music videos have fueled a global buzz around their sound.
They’ve collaborated with Italo disco legends Ken Laszlo, Tom Hooker and Fred Ventura on the hit singles Disco Queen, Face to Face and Never Surrender.
Their music has also been featured in award-winning Swedish films such as Dyke Hardand Aerobics – A Love Story. In 2017, Italove released their debut album—fittingly titled The Album. Riding on its success, they delivered a powerful live performance in front of 16,000 fans at the Patrick Miller Fest in Mexico City.
Following their appearance in the documentary Italo Disco Legacy
—Martin Blix was invited to do a special promotional show at the iconic Berghain club in Berlin.
In 2023 Italove released their second album Chasing ghosts to equally as great success
In recent years, Italove has toured extensively across Mexico, the USA, and Europe. In 2025, Dave LaRoxx decided to step away from the group to focus on his new life in Spain. The band continues as a dynamic duo, with Dr. Mateo and Martin Blix proudly carrying the Italove legacy forward.
