Being a kid from a small city in North Carolina, you either grew up playing sports or worked a regular job, no in-between. I grew up playing sports but my love for music was out of this world. I remember days where I would just stare out the window and imagine I was in music videos or that I was in the room at the time the song was made.
On the days my parents had to work, my cousins would watch my siblings and me. The only thing they watched was Vh1, BET, and MTV. Watching artists from Maroon 5 to Soulja Boy, two completely different types of music, sparked so many ideas in my head at a young age and made me think more spontaneously. Growing up, I had a piano and guitar, I would sit on YouTube, search up songs, and play them by ear. After doing this consistently, not only did I get better and better but I also developed a genuine love for the instruments.
Fast forward to high school, I stopped playing sports and decided to dedicate my free time to making music. From that point on, I would make my own music and make friends who I now call family such as Sportvvs, Sofaygo, etc. While I’m still producing for artists like NBA Youngboy, Lil Durk, and more, I want to drop my own music under my name, “Its2ezzy”. I admire artists like Benny Blanco because I grew up on songs he’s written and produced and I want to do the same thing for the generations to come. I hope the music I make speaks to the world as it does to me.
