Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, rapper, singer, producer and entrepreneur Iz LaMarr (pronounced “Eyes”) is a beautiful consequence of his experience growing up in LA, then moving to New York to study music at NYU. After picking up piano and guitar at the age of eight, he brewed a passion for music that has remained integral to his life. He looks to Dr. Dre, 50 Cent, Michael Jackson, Travis Scott, Rihanna, Kanye West and Tupac Shakur as his biggest inspirations. With these influences Iz created his own sound called Rage and Blues. His career kicked off towards the end of high school when he and his friends started throwing underground shows around LA.
Iz is also the founder and CEO of the event production company Roaring20s, a platform for independent artists of color around the world, based in LA, NY, Texas and Berlin Germany. Starting as an idea he had to simply create a platform for him and his peers, Roaring20s has now expanded into an emerging collective taking over the underground hip hop scene. Over the last few years Iz LaMarr has been feeding his growing fanbase with his latest singles “WONDER” with New York artist and R20 member V Wescott, “FLY” with Kenny Dreams and lastly his latest Mixtape FEEL, a.k.a. “FUCK EVERYTHING, ENJOY LIFE.” It has already garnered millions of views across platforms since its release.
This is still only the beginning for Iz, and he isn't showing any signs of letting up.
