Izaku Lume, real name: Daniel Elumelu, was born on March 6, 1996, in Indianapolis, Indiana, and raised in Kansas City, Missouri by a single mother working two jobs to take care of him and his brother. A lot of the time, he was practically raised by his brother, Chidubem Umenyiora, who taught him how to navigate life while their mom held everything together.
Before music became the focus, Izaku spent time in Philadelphia attending military college, then returned to Kansas City. He went on to study cybersecurity at the University of Central Missouri. Life looked steady for a while until it wasn’t. Marriage, divorce, and a stretch of homelessness hit back-to-back, forcing him to rebuild everything from the ground up.
Music became the place he healed and the place he fought back. Inspired heavily by Chris Brown, Usher, and Mario, Izaku blends R&B runs, hip-hop energy, and a gospel heartbeat into something uniquely his.
