J-Band$

Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA.
J-Band$ is a force to be reckoned with in the Philly rap game. Even though he had a rough life growing up. He is always dedicated to his family and says family is first before anything else. Known for his hard-hitting lyrics and infectious beats, he has captivated audiences worldwide with his style and talent. With a relentless work ethic and a passion for storytelling, J-Band$ has quickly become one of the newest artists in the industry. His music is a reflection of his life experiences, showcasing the struggles and triumphs of growing up in Philadelphia. So sit back and let his music speak for itself.

He got into rap game in March of 2022, he started off doing some freestyles over the beats for <a href="spotify:artist:1l9MB9QHLcmvuI3wwiWCkB" data-name="KUR">KUR</a> ‘s “Chiraq” and <a href="spotify:artist:20sxb77xiYeusSH8cVdatc" data-name="Meek Mill">Meek Mill</a>’s “Monster” off an app on his phone. J-Band$ liked how he rapped but didn’t like the sound quality of the tracks. After struggling to find an inexpensive studio and producer, J-Band$ was introduced to <a href="spotify:artist:5GlTbIfEWTcB32HTIFN7jj" data-name="Stety">Stety</a> (a friend of J-Band$ stepdad). Stety then introduced him to his producer/artist <a href="spotify:artist:1tJDeKulGm8zrjQccUGhfX" data-name="Dubb">Dubb</a> out of Jumbosounds Studio. After scrapping the freestyles, he then began working with Dubb on his debut album “I AM” which dropped in April of 2022. He currently has done songs with other Northeast Philly rapper <a href="spotify:artist:5U0fUfB6Hbrx3AGnnwV8mJ" data-name="Kid Jazz">Kid Jazz</a> on their hit song <a href="spotify:track:2mkr8EVx1d50qceqCL5ZmW" data-name="Street Credibility">Street Credibility</a> and their song <a href="spotify:track:68NjBQpt6z6YjxezAHMVBM" data-name="Prime Time">Prime Time</a> off his 2nd Album “Lottery Pick” which he dropped in May of 2024.
