Music Artist and Sound Engineer, J Bird combines his south Kansas City flow with formative experience in Atlanta bringing a fresh style to the game. With a discography ranging from hip-hop to modern rap, trap rap, pop and punk rap Bird’s mix of talent singles him out as a prolific artist on the rise. His passion for the studio, and competitive spirit, keeps him serving hit after hit in new genres like modern R&B, and alternative pop.
J Bird was born in Kansas City in 1997, and relocated to Atlanta, Georgia in 2006. At twelve years old, the young entrepreneur started recording, mixing, and mastering in his free time on a family computer. In the 6th grade, Bird dropped his first song, and a mixtape titled “Rough Draft”. From 2009-2012 he would go on to drop 5 more mixtapes under the artist name “DJJ”. The time spent in Atlanta was short lived, and in 2012 he moved back up to south Kansas City in Raymore, Missouri. He coined the city “The Ray” and discovered after some time, this move would change his life, and musical career, forever.
6 years later, J Bird dropped his first album on major platforms entitled “1018” through his label Established Music Productions. He named the album as a tribute to his former crew in Raymore. After his initial studio album, Bird dropped 4 more including his widely streamed 2021’s INDIEBOP. With big plans for the future, Birdy B (one of many nicknames) is building his foundation in the local roots of Kansas City.
