J-DiA was birthed out of a passion we both had to minister God’s message of amazing grace and His living hope to young people through music. The name of the band is a combination of our names – Jan and Nadia – which alternatively means “God is gracious” and “Hope”. We chose to keep the ‘I’ in J-DiA in its smaller case, to emphasize that who we are and what we do is all to glorify God, and not ourselves. It’s like John the Baptist said in John 3 verse 30, “He must become greater; I must become less.” In 2006 we took whatever resources we had at the time and started producing Sanctified Electronic Dance Music. We were influenced and inspired by local Christian artists such as: UWJ, MIC, JC-Culture and Innervision, who were all pioneers in the Christian EDM scene.
