J Holmes

J Holmes was born in Zachary, Louisiana on May, 10. He moved to New Orleans, La in 2000 where he got his first taste of Jazz music. Shortly before hurricane Katrina in 2004 he moved to Fairfield, CA. California was where he got his first taste of the West coast music world. E-40, Too Short, Mac Dre etc. In 2012 J Holmes moved to the Dfw Texas area where he resides now. Coming up as a kid his main rap influences were Method Man and The Wu-Tang Clan, 2pac, Scarface, Nas, DMX, Cash Money and No Limit Records. He raps with a very unique cadence and he is a very versatile MC. His music is filled with substance and sharp metaphors. He can ride literally any track and doesn't disappoint on his features. He also has a blog published in Gienus. J Holmes can hang with many of the best lyricist in the rap game and has a major respect for the Hip-Hop craft and its pioneers. His first studio album <a href="spotify:album:4dYovt1g3FUnx1CfGi0xQv" data-name="The Last Samurai">The Last Samurai</a> was released in 2018. In 2019 J Holmes dropped a four track EP tilted <a href="spotify:album:0LKJmXV9A0BEIwb9zi8pxi" data-name="Ventilation">Ventilation</a> and another studio album <a href="spotify:album:7CIwzxNmAmxluevOWVWwPF" data-name="The Return of the Savage">The Return of the Savage</a> all containing a very generous amount or realness and substance. J Holmes' story is told very detailed but cunning within his lyrics. In 2020 J Holmes released the mourning single <a href="spotify:track:5GYVNoavivJLv2IWRdrveZ" data-name="Broken">Broken</a> in remembrance of his lost loved one. In 2021 J Holmes released his third studio album titled <a href="spotify:album:1WdBbC06J3WwxT4UyVGOFX" data-name="Changes">Changes</a> and single <a href="spotify:album:5libKKR5ZTkAsvtEButaIf" data-name="Rules of The Game">Rules of The Game</a>. These projects clearly show his growth as a Hip-Hop artist. His latest single is called <a href="spotify:track:38WLIJFJnGrrQHgqocMsgG" data-name="Up Again">Up Again</a>
