J Mint is an international recording artist and photographer who hails from San Francisco, CA.
Mint is known for his smooth flow, insightful lyrics and catchy hooks. Born in 1995, Mint grew up listening to a wide variety of boom bap and rap. OutKast, Nas, Jay Z, Geto Boys, as well as local legends like Mac Dre, Andre Nickitina, Hieroglyphics, Too Short and more heavily influenced his taste and style. He began rapping at the young age of 16 and earned the nickname Junior Mint from his homie, while freestyling with a box of the candy in hand.
Over time the name was shortened to J Mint.
J wanted to find the meaning behind MINT and came up with the acronym Music Inspires Natural Thought. Mint has released 2 EPs, a full Album and a wide variety of singles. He has collaborated with many artists including Equipto, Sunspot Jonz, YGTUT, Stunnaman02 and more. He also has production from notable producers like DJ Grumble, Eem Triplin, Knowsum, Blunted Beatz, UpperCut$, BlackMayo, and Rico Slavic.
