J-Renee is an alt R&B artist from Virginia Beach, Virginia and currently based in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She creates music that exists in the intersection between live instrumentation and electronic hip-hop production with producer Orion Redwolf. As a Harvard Ethnomusicology PhD student, she identifies as a performer-scholar and intends on continuing to bridge the two practices in her future work.
Her first single, "Spaced Out," is a chill song about escapism through ones morning routine. "Spaced Out" is the first release off of her upcoming debut album set to release in 2024.
