J. Salas is a singer-songwriter born and raised in Los Angeles, California. He began playing guitar at the age of 9 and wrote his first song at 13. Through university, J. Salas studied the art of music production/audio engineering and began to seriously record/mix his own music. As an avid life long music listener, J. Salas borrows from many genres of music, often blending vintage rock-era melodies, live instrumentation, and current pop/hip hop drum rhythms. "Loose" was the first single released by J. Salas in 2022, where he is credited with writing, producing, mixing, and mastering the song. "Loose" was also released as an official music video on Youtube under the official J. Salas Youtube account.
