Tay Cunningham popularly known as J-Thug, is a Jamaican record producer and entrepreneur. J-Thug is the co-founder of KxngCity Entertainment, a record label situated in Kingston, Jamaica. Born and raised in Kingston Jamaica, J-Thug grew up fixing computers and making sound systems from speakers in his community. He embarked on his music journey professionally at the age of nine drawing influence from artists such as Bob Marley, Vybz Kartel, 2Pac, Biggie Smalls, DMX, Kanye West and Dr. Dre The seasoned producer and songwriter has a unique talent that is a fusion of Reggae, Dancehall with Pop. In 2018 J-Thug worked with popular African Dancehall artist Kahpun where he released a hit single called “What Dem Waan” on all digital platforms including VEVO. Also In 2021, J-Thug worked with MD Kindred and released an Album titled “UTMOST TO THE HIGHEST “ which featured songs like “ Good Loving” and “Over Again”. J-Thug has worked with multiple artists like Kxng Tyler , Kahpun , MD Kindred, Jolie, Cappa Flex and More.
