From 1970 to 1984 one of the most successful Dutch singers was Jack Jersey.
However, Jack's success was not limited to singing.
As composer, writer, music arranger and record producer he was responsible for every hit that comes from his own production company, J.R., (Jeetzi-Rah) which means "creation world" in Hebrew. In his ten year career, Jack has written many hits for other artists and himself, at least 89 hits in the Dutch Charts Top 40, (many of which have also been covered by various foreign artists) as well as discovering artists such as André Moss, Nick MacKenzie, Tony Bass, Leo den Hop, Frank en Mirella, Jan Boezeroen and The Shorts. Also he wrote, composed, arranged and produced for Zangeres Zonder Naam after leaving Johnny Hoes.
It would be difficult to count just how many records have been sold with which Jack was, in one way or another, involved in, but it would number many, many millions.
Furthermore Jack's success has by no means been limited to the Netherlands.
Either himself as a singer or artists under his production are known throughout many countries.
