Jack Rua

Irish glam-based pop artist Jack Rua is a unique and original talent. Inspired by some of the most ambitious and creative artists of the last fifty years, Jack Rua spent his formative years studying the work of icons such as <a href="spotify:artist:0oSGxfWSnnOXhD2fKuz2Gy" data-name="David Bowie">David Bowie</a>,<a href="spotify:artist:6tbjWDEIzxoDsBA1FuhfPW" data-name="Madonna">Madonna</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:1HY2Jd0NmPuamShAr6KMms" data-name="Lady Gaga">Lady Gaga</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:7bcbShaqKdcyjnmv4Ix8j6" data-name="St. Vincent">St. Vincent</a>, &amp; <a href="spotify:artist:5a2EaR3hamoenG9rDuVn8j" data-name="Prince">Prince</a>; analysing their every move and how they used their art forms to innovate and rebel.

Much like his influences, Jack has proven to be a sonic shapeshifter. He has experimented in glam-rock and dance on 2020&#39;s queer coming-of-age mini album &#39;<a href="spotify:album:6ndgoG2qBfBXwEpPdo8qhB" data-name="Narcissus">Narcissus</a>&#39;, contemporary electro-pop on the frosty &#39;<a href="spotify:album:4fr1i7HJnnPP8y7ZyoziVk" data-name="Isolation">Isolation</a>&#39;, and experimental hyper-pop on 2021&#39;s &#39;<a href="spotify:album:2MQpAp13fl2VbWoIH1phsx" data-name="I Don&#39;t Party Enough Anymore">I Don&#39;t Party Enough Anymore</a>&#39;, a transatlantic EP made with <a href="spotify:artist:4jgc4RCXbjyqKTKtGcdggA" data-name="Saint Taint">Saint Taint</a> during the first COVID lockdown.

Since 2019, his music has amassed hundreds of thousands of streams on Spotify after receiving editorial support on multiple occasions and has been played frequently on Irish and British radio (RTE 2FM, Spin 1038, FM104, KCLR, Red FM and BBC Introducing). Jack is also a seasoned live act, performing sold out shows across Dublin. His shows have been described as &#34;stunning&#34; by Hot Press and a &#34;dynamic combination of theatre and fierce sexual confidence&#34; by GCN.
