Originating from Belfast and based in Amsterdam since 2024, Jack Hamill is the hardware cosmonaut behind Space Dimension Controller. Breaking through in 2009 with the dreamy electro-funk 12-inch The Love Quandrant, he soon signed to R&S Records and developed a singular language of hardware-driven house, electro and synth-pop fused with science-fiction storytelling.

Drawing as readily from Prince and Brian Eno as Cluster and Rephlex, Hamill built a world around characters including Mr. 8040, Max Tiraquon and Jack, using them as avatars for stories of time travel, heartbreak, sobriety, redemption and creative renewal. Releases such as The Pathway to Tiraquon6, Welcome to Mikrosector-50 and Love Beyond the Intersect gradually turned that mythology inward.

After relocating to Amsterdam and building a new studio, Hamill wrote the third and final instalment of the saga. The World Overhead pushes into driving acid and trance, guitar, shoegaze and IDM while bringing both the storyline and its author back to earth.

Released on his own Tiraquon Recordings, the album introduces his new moniker, Jack Tiraquon: the sound of Hamill removing the Space Dimension Controller guise and moving forward as the cinematic hardware musician he has always been at the core.
