JackSounds is a producer, recording artist, and audio engineer from the Boston area, known for blending hip-hop, electronic, and R&B with heavy drums, layered synths, and sharp, introspective lyrics. His sound balances underground grit with polished production—rhythmic, precise, and unmistakably his.

A lifelong musician, Jack was gifted his first drum kit at age four and studied under legendary educator Gary Chaffee by nine. He picked up piano and began experimenting with recording—laying down his first rap on cassette using the built-in mic on a boombox. That early spark turned into high school freestyles, local studio sessions, and eventually, a commercial-grade home studio built in 2014.

Initially influenced by the EDM and trap-heavy SoundCloud wave of the early 2010s, Jack continued releasing music and building momentum through live performances at venues like Simon’s 677 (Providence, RI) and Sonia (Cambridge, MA). His sound evolved further under the mentorship of acclaimed producer and engineer Steve Catizone, working out of Sanctum Sound and other professional studios throughout Boston to refine his technical approach to production.

His first major moment of exposure came in 2020, when he produced the beat for the single Smoke by <a href="spotify:artist:4s0K7Gh1qCZCXB5OuMF1VT" data-name="Just Juice">Just Juice</a>, which landed on Spotify’s New Music Friday playlist and was featured in an Instagram video by NFL star Patrick Mahomes. Most recently, in August 2024, he released his newest album, It’s Not All Sunshine and Rainbows.
