Jacqueline Edythe (Jacquie Skokna) moved to Nashville eleven years ago from Chicago. She got her degree in English literature and creative writing at Belmont University, and began writing her own songs during the pandemic. Jacqueline is inspired by Suzanne Vega's introspective folk songwriting, old Taylor Swift love songs and their wit, and the soft, romantic oldies of the 1950's and 60's.
This past year, in between hustling as a public school teacher and waiting tables in the summer, she self-funded and recorded six of her songs at LFT studios with a dream team (Theodore Pecchio, Brook Sutton, Will Tyson, Chris Condon, Dane Bryant, and Nick Buda). Her debut EP "Glory Days" is out now.
