Strutting onto the Korean soul scene armed with a silken voice and a penchant for sass is KPOP’s latest initiate, Jacqui.
Jacqui’s debuit full-length album 'Dirty Mirror Selfie', produced in collaboration with glowingdog (RM, Damons year, sogumm, Lee Hi, Dvwn), is an intriguing blend of Jacqui's unabashedly honest and playfully innocent lyrics. Jacqui’s soundscapes of nu jazz, neo-soul, RnB, and pop are offered with integrity and wisdom beyond her years.
The album delivers the same slick production and staunch lyricism that Jacqui has become known for, with renewed energy that will cement her as the most exciting new export of Korean soul.
Tapping into her own essence or ‘soul’ by meticulously chiselling away to unearth the pure substance within is central to Jacqui’s music practice. In 2025, Jacqui heads to the UK to perform at The Great Escape Festival & Focus Wales Festival, alongside a string of additional live shows. Coinciding with the tour, Jacqui will release a brand new single, ‘fries, bb’, on May 9th, expanding her sonic world with the same honesty and flair that has captivated fans.
