Born and raised in London, England, Jago is a reggae musician influenced by the '90s ragga and jungle from his youth. Throughout the early 2010s, he worked as a vocalist, producer, and songwriter on a number of recordings while self-releasing songs and remixes, slowly gaining support from various BBC-affiliated radio DJs, among other tastemakers. Meanwhile, he also found a fan base as leader of the festival-friendly reggae outfit onlyjoe, which made its Glastonbury Festival debut in 2013. After being featured on the <a href="spotify:artist:0HlXIXCOehtVKOJB2VlVBr">Ghost Writerz</a> LP GWz All the Way, released by <a href="spotify:search:label%3A%22Tru+Thoughts%22">Tru Thoughts</a> in the summer of 2015, Jago was signed to the label. His debut full-length, Microphones and Sofas, arrived in February 2016 and featured guests including but not limited to <a href="spotify:artist:0HlXIXCOehtVKOJB2VlVBr">Ghost Writerz</a>, Hylu, RTKal, and <a href="spotify:artist:0za4VRNelbryOJepfIPnH5">Ed West</a>. ~ Marcy Donelson, Rovi
