Jahirah Williams is an American musician, composer, arranger, producer, and educator whose music taps into all kinds of genres but mainly reflects his appreciation for Gospel, jazz, R&B, Soul, and Funk. He was born into a musically inclined family and began his musical journey at the age of 2 with the drumset. His family’s music ensemble, Williams Park, has performed at weddings, school functions, and other special events. By the age of 6, he joined his family performing at church every Sunday.
He began composing in middle school and by his senior year of high school in 2017, his high school concert band performed his first finished composition, Magna Benedictus. During his high school years, he fell in love with Choir and began to stand out for his bass voice. As part of the choir and marching band, Jahirah developed tastes into classical/concert styles of music and has broadened his instrumental horizons by genre.
Brave Emotion started from a 2-week experimental project of creating and producing various types of music and became his first EP to be released. It's transparent simplicity and felicitous nonsensical lyrics offers listeners a deeper understanding of how their mind perceives existence while being fun to listen to.
Jahirah continues studying ethnomusicology and instruments throughout the world. He loves music theory despite the controversy of how it is implemented into music and is always eager to get his hands on the newest instruments.
