Born Gerald Sandor Yusuf in Queens, New York City, Jahral moved to South Florida during his school years. In 2005, he met Eddie Mashal — engineer for the Eagles classic Hotel California — who was impressed by Jahral’s freestyle and battling skills at Broward College. Eddie mentored him in professional music production.

In 2013, Jahral interned at South Beach Studios in Miami, where he worked around artists like The Weeknd, Ludacris, Scott Storch, and Pharrell Williams — sharpening his songwriting, mixing, and production skills.

In 2017, he engineered and vocal-produced Jon Secada’s Just Another Day (Reggae Version). A year later, XXXTENTACION and Lil Pump released Arms Around You (feat. Maluma & Swae Lee) — earning Jahral his first Platinum record as an engineer.

After meeting Steele Risin' and Steven Q-Beatz, they formed QST, producing YNW Melly’s I’m A Star — certified Gold and on track for Platinum.

Now Dolby Atmos–certified with UMG and part of the Grammy Recording Academy, Jahral continues to release new music monthly, including his albums Mr. Yusuf, Mr. Yusuf, Pt. 2, and Mr. Yusuf, Pt. 3.
