In his own words, Jake Morse's newest album, Can’t Complain, is “everything I’ve wanted to create since I started making music.” Released in February 2023, this new project is a long way from his first. Jake’s musical journey began at a young age, playing drums and starting bands at a young age, and eventually learning to make beats on an iPod Touch. He started writing his own raps and released his first mixtape in 2012.
After numerous low-quality mixtapes, Jake removed everything from the internet in 2014, and began saving up for a computer and a decent microphone. In October of 2015, Jake released a short EP called Smile, as sort of a fresh start.
He would go on to release two albums, three more EPs, and a long run of loose singles through 2018. Jake’s 2019 included a high volume of new music and other media, including the semi-viral success of Oh Say (Can You See What's Wrong), and several other singles, The Morse Code Podcast, a vlog, and more.
The beginning of 2020 brought a half dozen more singles, before taking a step back to start focusing on creating an album. Giving the first glimpse of the album, Jake Released Life is Good (ft. Najee Janey & alè) in August of 2021. In 2022 Jake experimented a little bit with a 7 track project called The Promise, before returning to the studio to continue working on the album.
Finally Jake Morse released his album Can’t Complain February 17, 2023.
