Jake Pains is a Merseyside born Seoul based MC bridging UK underground energy with Korea’s bass scene. A multi-award winning lyricist (Cass Beats, Miller Seoul, Iron-Mic Seoul, Seoul Slam Poet Champion), he was the first ever resident MC at the world-ranked Club Octagon (#5 in DJ Mag). Today, he is the 'voice of DnB' in Korea as main MC for Darklight Seoul and DnB Seoul and affiliated with SM Entertainment’s Scream Records and Seoul Community Radio. Jake’s versatility across DnB, UKG, Bassline and UKHH has seen him perform with international icons Goldie, D Double E, London Elektricity, Ekko & Sidetrack, Sub Zero, & m-flo’s Taku Takahashi and support Hedex & Mampi Swift. Domestically, he is a festival staple: an 8-year host of Korea's biggest music festival, Waterbomb and a trusted closer at major university festivals, sharing stages with Jay Park, Tiger JK, & Dynamic Duo. A founding member of the pioneering Bass Attack collective, Jake delivers a signature intensity; part northern UK grit, part Korean energy, that turns crowds into chaos and verses into spectacle. Through his label Ache-Zen Audio, he now fuses this high-octane club pedigree with raw, conscious rhymes to cut through genres and geographies alike.
