Jake is a passionate multi-instrumentalist whose artistry revolves around acoustic guitar and drums.
Some of his guitar influences come from Glen Hansard's raw expressiveness, Earl Klugh's intricate fingerpicking, and Nick Drake’s alternate tunings. He also draws ambient influence from Chords of Orion and finds inspiration for chord progressions and harmony from Marty Mikles.
Jake blends faith, emotion, and introspection to create meaningful musical journeys rooted in scripture. His songwriting focuses on crafting music that is enjoyable to play, interesting to listen to, and most importantly, accessible for worship teams and congregations to use.
With over fifteen years of professional live performance experience, Jake has contributed to numerous writing and recording projects for various artists. Now leading the contemporary worship group at his church in Hamilton, Ontario, he continues to craft and record original compositions, sharing his faith through music.
