Singer songwriter/rapper “JAKE”, born Jake Murphy from Hawke’s Bay, New Zealand, has been drawn to music from an early age but only started songwriting and taking the craft more seriously in late 2017.
Growing up listening to a lot of Hip Hop and New Zealand reggae JAKE discovered a huge passion and started to form his own sound.
“I have spent the last 3 years experimenting with my voice, songwriting and genres in order to find the sounds that best fit me”
2020 JAKE started sending some demos around and from that was accepted Funding on a single and was invited to an Appra Song Hub week. From there he met Simon Gooding who then applied for the artist development funding with JAKE. The funding was accepted and Jakes first single “Waiting List’ was born
